Some love stories begin with a grand romantic gesture. Madeline and Trent’s started a little more simply with a waitress, a customer, and a guy who kept coming back every weekend just to see her.
What began with Trent stopping by where Madeline worked eventually turned into hiking adventures, lake days, traveling, quiet nights watching their favorite shows, and a first date that seemed to make their future pretty obvious.
Their wedding at Bella Collina was a beautiful reflection of that relationship: joyful, playful, full of personality, and surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
Madeline was working as a waitress when Trent first came in. Apparently, one visit wasn’t enough. Trent kept coming back every weekend to see her—and eventually, he made the first move.
For their first date, the two headed to Hanging Rock in January. It was cold enough that they were some of the only people out there, but Trent was sweet the entire time.
Looking back, Madeline says they both probably knew after that first date that they would end up married. And honestly, they weren’t wrong.
Over the years, they built a life around the things they love doing together—from fishing on lakes and hiking to traveling and simply relaxing together watching their favorite shows.
Trent’s proposal was just as unexpected as their relationship was meant to be.
While they were taking Madeline’s graduation pictures last year, Trent suddenly dropped down on one knee and proposed.
Madeline was completely shocked.
What started as graduation photos quickly became the beginning of another unforgettable chapter—and eventually led them to their wedding day at Bella Collina.
Wedding morning at Bella Collina was filled with anticipation, excitement, and plenty of personality.
The ring bearer and flower girl both got ready at the mansion, and they even took some time to practice their walk for the ceremony. Meanwhile, three junior bridesmaids made sure there was never a dull moment. Between dancing, making TikToks, documenting parts of the ceremony, and helping direct guests at the Welcome Table, they kept everyone entertained and involved.
Before the ceremony, Madeline also had a special surprise planned for Trent: a private photo.
It was one of those quiet wedding-day moments that allowed the two of them to pause and take in everything happening around them before the celebration really began.
From the beginning of cocktail hour, it was clear this was going to be a celebration.
The couple treated their guests to a grazing table, giving everyone plenty to enjoy while they mingled and celebrated the newlyweds.
Then came the cake cutting—and one of the funniest moments of the day.
Madeline was so excited to try the cake flavor that, rather than waiting for a fork, she put the cake knife in her mouth to get a taste.
The flower girl, however, was not nearly as impressed with the flavor.
She tried it…and promptly spit it out.
Not every wedding-day detail goes according to plan, but those are often the moments that make the best memories.
Madeline had another surprise planned for Trent during the reception: a dress change.
One of her bridesmaids helped her change and get ready to make her reception entrance in her second look. There was just one tiny problem—the shoes weren’t cooperating.
As Madeline tried to pull them off, they got stuck, turning the wardrobe change into another unexpected moment of wedding-day comedy.
Eventually, the shoes surrendered, and Madeline was ready to get back to the party.
And when it came to the reception, these guests knew how to celebrate.
The dance floor stayed packed throughout the night, with Madeline and Trent leading the way. At one point, the couple started waving their arms, and the entire dance floor followed along.
It was one of those moments that perfectly captured the energy of their wedding: everyone was completely in it together.
There were plenty of other memorable moments throughout the reception, too—including Madeline’s dad coming to the rescue when a groomsman and a guest needed some help.
And then there was the moment Madeline’s hair somehow became tangled in her dad’s cufflink.
Wedding days really do have a way of giving you stories you’ll be telling for years.
Before their private last dance, Madeline and Trent had one final task.
They chugged their beers so they wouldn’t have to carry them onto the dance floor.
Then, with the drinks taken care of, they had their private last dance and soaked in a quiet moment together before the night came to an end.
Outside, their friends and family gathered for a sparkler exit.
Surrounded by the glow of sparklers, Madeline and Trent made their way through the crowd before leaving together.
Madeline and Trent’s wedding day wasn’t just beautiful—it was fun, personal, and completely them.
There were sweet surprises, hilarious mishaps, packed dance floors, little moments with family, and plenty of laughter. From the children practicing their ceremony walk to the cake tasting, the dress change, the dancing, and their final sparkler exit, the day was filled with the kind of moments that make wedding photography so meaningful.
Because years from now, they may not remember every detail of the timeline.
But they’ll remember how everyone danced.
They’ll remember the cake.
They’ll remember the stuck shoes.
They’ll remember the laughter.
And they’ll remember walking through those sparklers together for the first time as partners.
Congratulations, Madeline and Trent! It was such a joy to be there to capture your beautiful Bella Collina wedding and all of the little moments that made your day uniquely yours.
