This past weekend, I had the honor of photographing Sitna and Alejandro’s wedding—a day filled with joy, traditions, and so many unforgettable moments.
Their love story began in such a modern way: on Instagram. A mutual friend connected them, and Alejandro was the first to reach out. Sitna didn’t respond right away, but when she finally did, everything clicked. Two weeks later, they met at Bailey Park, where they spent hours talking as if they had known each other for years instead of days. That instant connection became the foundation for their love story.
Fast forward to their proposal—Alejandro planned the sweetest surprise. During a trip to South Carolina with his family, they suggested taking family photos on a bridge. With music playing in the background, Alejandro dropped to one knee. What Sitna didn’t know was that her own family was there too, waiting to celebrate. It was a moment filled with laughter, tears, and so much love.
Their wedding day was just as beautiful as their story. Sitna shared a tender First Look with her dad and bridesmaids, while Alejandro and his groomsmen spent an hour making sure every shirt and pocket square was perfectly pressed. (Those small behind-the-scenes moments always end up being some of my favorites to capture!)
The ceremony was heartfelt, with family and friends eager to document the day alongside me. At one point, a little boy and I even ended up taking photos of each other—a sweet reminder that everyone wants to hold on to memories of love.
The reception was lively, full of energy and Mexican traditions. Guests joined in for La Vibora de la Mar and even “Throw the Groom”—both guaranteed to bring laughter and excitement to the dance floor. The bouquet and boutonniere toss added to the fun before the night ended with a sweet treat of gelato, a sparkler exit, and even a surprise firework show.
Although a lunar eclipse was happening that weekend, we couldn’t see it clearly. But I was able to capture a stunning photo of the full moon—a perfect symbol of the love and new beginning Sitna and Alejandro share.
Sitna and Alejandro, your wedding day was filled with so many moments of joy, culture, and connection. Thank you for letting me be part of such a meaningful chapter in your story. Here’s to a lifetime of laughter, adventures, and love as bright as that full moon.
