Last weekend, Sonya and Kevin celebrated their marriage surrounded by family and friends at the scenic Rigmor House in Chapel Hill. Their day was filled with vibrant traditions, heartfelt moments, and the blending of two families.
The ceremony began with Kevin and his parents joining Sonya’s father in prayer—a meaningful moment that honored family, faith, and heritage. Sonya and Kevin then exchanged floral garlands, symbolizing their acceptance of one another, followed by the exchange of rings.
One of the most beautiful traditions of the day was when the couple circled the sacred space several times, signifying the vows and promises they made to one another. The ceremony concluded as Kevin gently placed a red dot on Sonya’s forehead, a symbolic gesture marking her as his bride and sealing their union.
With joyful music, colorful attire, and traditions rich in meaning, Sonya and Kevin’s wedding was a celebration of love, culture, and new beginnings.
It was truly an honor to witness such a special day at Rigmor House, and to capture the joy of a couple whose love shone brightly through every tradition and every smile.
