A Romantic Celebration Filled with Coffee, Laughter, and Love
Some love stories feel like they’re written in the stars — or, in this case, in a coffee cup. Beth and Stephanie’s story began on Tinder, where a simple swipe turned into something extraordinary. Their first date was supposed to be at a local coffee shop, but when it was closed, they improvised — getting coffee elsewhere and sharing it together in the car. That unexpected twist turned into a memory they’d never forget.
Coffee played another important role in their story. When the time came to propose, both Beth and Stephanie had the same plan without realizing it — they each wanted to propose at the same coffee shop where they had their first date. When they showed up, both with rings in hand, it became a perfectly spontaneous double proposal, full of laughter and tears.
On their wedding day at Bakery 1818, the couple shared a beautiful First Look before exploring downtown Madison together. One of their stops was The Mad Bean, a nod to the beginning of their love story and their proposals. Beth even brought her leather jacket — the same one she wore when Stephanie pulled her in for their first kiss.
As we walked toward the clocktower, a tiny ladybug landed on Beth — a sweet little symbol of good luck and love that felt like the universe was smiling on them.
Back at Bakery 1818, the ceremony was a true family affair. Beth’s two sons proudly escorted each bride down the aisle, while her nieces played the roles of flower girl and ring bear — the latter complete with an adorable bear costume.
Every detail carried a personal touch. As the room was transformed for the reception, one of the shelves that Stephanie had built and stained herself became part of the Head Table display. The little wagon that carried the “ring bear” during the ceremony was repurposed as a sweet decoration for the evening.
Before their First Dance, we slipped outside for golden hour portraits as the sun set behind Bakery 1818. It was the perfect quiet moment before the night’s celebrations began.
As guests filled the dance floor, laughter and joy echoed through the room. To end the night, Beth and Stephanie shared one last private dance — a tender moment just for them — before a sparkling Grand Exit surrounded by their loved ones.
Their day was a perfect blend of sentiment, creativity, and fun — a reflection of their story and the life they’re building together.
