What Separates A Pro Photographer From A Hobbyist
Once the wedding is over, the only thing you have left are your photographs. And the number one regret from couples is not investing more money in a photographer. Below, are some reasons why you should hire a professional instead of a hobbyist.
Knowledge: Professionals have experience in posing, angles, and lighting. And they know how to achieve the shot FAST! Instead of posing for 10 minutes while they try and figure out their settings, they can grab the shot and move on to the next location.
Experience: Murphy’s law states “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.” There are alot of moving parts in a wedding. Hair and makeup, travel, catering, DJ, etc. So if one thing throws off the timeline, the other vendors need to adjust things accordingly. An experience photographer can roll with the punches. And as stated above, the reason why they need to know how to work fast to achieve the shot. A not so experienced photographer will most likely freak out.
Appearance and Performance: An amateur won’t take your wedding seriously. They may show up in jeans and a t-shirt. You might even see them drinking on the job. Or they may have found a better gig and decided not to show up on your wedding day. A professional will put your needs ahead. They have to be assertive and engaging without being irritating to you and your guests.
Backup plans: An amateur can’t afford a backup plan. A professional can.
